Ohio State and other Big Ten teams will find out their position in the first College Football Playoff selection committee rankings of the 2025 season.
The Buckeyes are in a good spot entering the first standings release. They beat Penn State 38-14 on Nov. 1 to advance to 8-0 and stay on top of the AP poll and the US LBM Coaches poll. And quarterback Julian Sayin leads betting odds in the Heisman Trophy voting after his performance versus the Nittany Lions, completing 20-of-23 passes for 313 yards and four passing touchdowns.
Ahead of the CFP reveal, Ohio State is projected to be ranked No. 1 over Indiana and Texas A&M. USA TODAY’s Paul Myerberg predicts three Big Ten teams to be inside the top 12, with Ohio State at No. 1, Indiana at No. 2 and Oregon at No. 8.
