Centennial has hired Chad Broadrick as its TSSAA football coach, Williamson County Schools announced in a press release on Jan. 7.
Broadrick was the Pope John Paul II defensive coordinator this past season and was in the same role at Father Ryan for two seasons before that. He initially was hired at Father Ryan in 2023 by then-Irish coach Brian Rector, who is now Centennial’s athletic director.
Centennial went 7-6 this past season, winning five of its last six games to reach the Class 5A state semifinals. The Cougars regrouped under interim coach Taylor Burks, who took over after former coach Jay Graham was arrested and fired on Oct. 16.
Broadrick, a White House graduate, was East Robertson’s coach from 2015-18. He was White House Heritage’s coach in 2022 before going to Father Ryan.
Broadrick went 13-28 at East Robertson before joining Gallatin’s staff as an assistant. He was 1-9 in one season at White House Heritage before resigning.
At Gallatin, Broadrick’s defense in 2019 allowed just 6.9 points per game and recorded five shutouts.
Centennial has been a consistent winner the past five years, going 38-21 since 2021.
The Cougars will graduate senior quarterback Mitchell Grandjean and receiver Malachi Steele this spring. Grandjean threw for 3,140 yards, 38 touchdowns and nine interceptions in 2025, to go with 705 yards rushing and five TDs. Steele finished with 1,548 yards receiving and 20 TDs.
