Chambliss, Taylor among SEC Media Days attendees

The Ole Miss and Mississippi State quarterbacks will both take center stage at SEC Media Days next week.

The Rebels’ Trinidad Chambliss and the Bulldogs’ Kamario Taylor will be among the players to meet the press in Tampa, Florida, the conference announced Tuesday. Joining Chambliss will be running back Kewan Lacy and defensive tackle Will Echoles. The trio, along with head coach Pete Golding, will appear Wednesday, July 22.

Taylor will be accompanied by receiver Anthony Evans and cornerback Kelley Jones. Head coach Jeff Lebby and those players will appear Thursday, July 23.

Chambliss is a leading Heisman Trophy candidate after his breakout 2025 season. He passed for 3,937 yards and 22 touchdowns while rushing for 527 yards and eight TDs. He led the Rebels to the semifinals of the College Football Playoff.

Taylor, who backed up Blake Shapen last season, threw for 629 yards and five touchdowns and rushed for 458 yards and eight scores. Taylor started the Duke’s Mayo Bowl, passing for 201 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 63 yards and a TD.

SEC Media Days is being hosted at the Tampa Marriott Water Street and JW Marriott. The festivities start Monday morning, and SEC Network will provide on-site coverage.
