AI is here to stay whether we like it or not. So why not embrace it? I asked our good pal ChatGPT some questions about the upcoming season for Ole Miss to see if it was more artificial or intelligent. Here’s how our conversation went:
“Who are the most important players on the Ole Miss roster this season?”
- Trinidad Chambliss
- Suntarine Perkins
- Kewan Lacy
- Patrick Kutas
- Will Echoles
Chat also gave us a names to watch list which included Deuce Alexander, Caleb Cunningham and Johntay Cook. Personally I think guys like Luke Ferelli and Keaton Thomas should be in the conversation as well.
“What will be the biggest game of the season?”
It gave the obvious big three on the schedule: LSU, Texas and Georgia. It settled on LSU as the biggest game because it was the SEC opener with playoff implications on the line. Chat didn’t even mention the fact that the ex was coming back in town.
“What is your record prediction for Ole Miss this season?”
Ceiling: 10-2 with losses to Texas and Georgia
Most Likely: 9-3 with an added loss to LSU
Floor: 8-4 with a loss to Oklahoma
“What game should have the Rebels on upset alert?”
Vanderbilt. Of course it’s freaking Vandy. According to Chat it comes after an emotional stretch of playing LSU and Florida and before a bye-week and home contest against Missouri. The other factor is that this game is on the road. If Ole Miss makes it to Vandy undefeated, I think they will be locked in. If they drop one to LSU or Florida, I could see it.
Well there ya have it. Seems like a lot of common sense here, so I’m thinking Chat falls somewhere in the middle of artificial and intelligent with this one. Nothing savvy or extremely nuanced.
