Bear…Come on, Bear, what are you talking about?!
Chris Fallica, graciously nicknamed "The Bear," went scorched earth when predicting the Ohio State vs. Miami football game in the Cotton Bowl Classic on New Year's Eve.
Fallica has been predicting games long before sports betting became a legal thing in the past decade. He made his name on College Gameday as the picker every single week before moving over to FOX.
As a youngster, I was always confused about what the "+" and "-" meant, and was thrown for a loop when they would give him credit for a win when the team clearly lost the game?
Ignorance is bliss I suppose.
On Fallica's weekly show, he certainly planted his flag on his take for this Cotton Bowl Classic.
"I think the line at -9.5 is completely disrespectful. I think that the Miami defensive line is going to be a problem for Ohio State… This is by far the second-best opponent Ohio State has faced all year… I think the 'Canes have a great chance to win the game."

History would tell us otherwise, or would it? Ohio State was kind of in the same spot as Miami was last year. They limped into the Playoffs, and several had an argument that, with two losses, they possibly should have been left out.
Then, they got into the Playoff and steamrolled everyone.
But also, that same side of the coin tells us that Ohio State can find another gear in the playoffs. Just as it was last year, Ohio State's last taste in its mouth is a loss.
The last time that they took the field, they left it incredibly disappointed after their loss to Indiana. Now they have the opportunity to right the ship and get back in the win column with their back against the wall.
Where I do agree with The Bear is that this will definitely be the Buckeyes' second-toughest test on the line of scrimmage. Ohio State has only faced one team in the same universe at defensive line, and that was Indiana. It did not go as planned, but the Buckeyes' offensive line specifically has a chance to bounce back.
Winning the line of scrimmage is the main storyline for the Buckeyes on Wednesday night in Dallas. Maybe that line being at -9.5 is a bit rich, but no one would be surprised to see a 24-10 final score in favor of Ohio State.
The entire world would be shocked to see a final score tipped in the direction of the Hurricanes. Only a few hours left until the talk is over and the players on the field pen the story.
