Nebraska football will host a three-star running back on campus. Class of 2028 recruit Marquece Sharpe Jr. announced that he will be taking an unofficial visit to Lincoln.

Sharpe is the 45th-ranked player at his position and the 14th-ranked player in his class from the state of Virginia, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings. Last season, he ran for 1,073 yards and 15 touchdowns for an average of 82.5 rushing yards per game.

He has an extensive offer sheet that includes Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Penn State, and North Carolina, in addition to Nebraska. The Huskers have aimed to take at least one running back in each recruiting class.

Nebraska has Amir Brown in the fold for 2027, and the program has already begun work for 2028. Noel Washington, Dalen Powell, and Micah Rhodes are just some additional names to keep in mind for the future.

Washington most recently held a multi-day visit to Lincoln beginning on June 8. The program is working to bolster the running back position, and it appears they are off to a solid start.
