Clemson football is staying busy in the NCAA transfer portal.
The Tigers on Wednesday picked up their sixth transfer portal commitment — all on defense — when defensive lineman Kourtney Kelly committed to Dabo Swinney’s team after spending 2025 with the West Georgia Wolves in the FCS.
Listed as 6-foot-3, 280 pounds, Kelly joins former Auburn Tigers cornerback Donovan Starr, Penn State cornerback Elliot Washington, California Golden Bears linebacker Luke Ferrelli, Old Dominion safety Jerome Carter, and Southern Miss defensive back Corey Myrick as players that have committed to Clemson.
The Tigers are looking to rebuild a defense that is losing T.J. Parker, Peter Woods, DeMonte Capeheart and Stephiylan Green on the defensive line, plus cornerback Avieon Terrell, linebacker Wade Woodaz and others to the NFL Draft. The Tigers also lost safeties Ricardo Jones and Khalil Barnes to the transfer portal this cycle, as well.
Kelly totaled 17 tackles, 7.0 tackles for loss and 4.0 sacks at West Georgia this past season. He was listed as a three-star transfer portal recruit, according to On3.
