Clemson football bowl projections for Dabo Swinney, Tigers before South Carolina game

CLEMSON — Clemson football will play in a bowl game this season.

Clemson (6-5) reached six wins after beating Furman 45-10 on Nov. 22 at Memorial Stadium. The Tigers will face South Carolina (4-7) on Nov. 29 (noon ET, SEC Network) at Williams-Brice Stadium to conclude the regular season.

Clemson is bowl eligible for the 21st straight season, continuing the sport’s fourth-longest active streak. This result is still a disappointment for Clemson as the Tigers will play in a non-College Football Playoff bowl game for the fourth time in five seasons despite entering the season as ACC favorites and a national championship contender.

Clemson made the CFP for six consecutive seasons (2015-20), but since has played in the Cheez-It Bowl (2021), Orange Bowl (2022), Gator Bowl (2023) and against Texas the CFP first round (2024).

ESPN: Gasparilla Bowl in Tampa, Florida, vs. South Florida (8-3) on Dec. 19 or Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas, vs. Arizona (8-3) on Dec. 31

CBS Sports: Fenway Bowl in Boston, Massachusetts, vs. Army (5-5) on Dec. 27

Athlon: Fenway Bowl vs. Memphis (8-3)

Sports Illustrated: Sun Bowl vs. Arizona
