South Carolina football and Clemson have their annual rivalry game on Nov. 29, which will air at noon on SEC Network, the conference announced No. 17.
Before the season it was announced that the game would be on ABC or ESPN.
The switch to SEC Network is likely due to the underwhelming season from both programs. South Carolina was ranked No. 13 in the preseason polls but is 3-7 overall and 1-7 in the SEC. The Gamecocks haven’t been in the Top 25 since the loss to Missouri on Sept. 20.
Clemson entered 2025 as ACC favorites, No. 6 in the coaches poll and a national championship contender after returning the most production of any Division I team. However, those hopes were dashed as Clemson started its first four games 1-3, which helped the Tigers get off to their worst 10-game start under coach Dabo Swinney since 2010.
The Tigers (5-5, 4-4 ACC) need one more win in their final two games to reach six wins and be bowl eligible. However, the Tigers will play in a non-College Football Playoff bowl game for the fourth time in five seasons if they achieve this.
South Carolina vs Clemson time, TV details set
Vanderbilt at Tennessee and LSU at Oklahoma are the two games that will air on either ABC or ESPN during the 3:30 window on Nov. 29. Florida State at Florida will be on ESPN2, with Alabama at Auburn the night game on ABC.
Kentucky vs Louisville is airing on ACC Network, also at noon ET.
The noon games for ABC and ESPN have not been announced.
It was previously revealed on June 11 that kickoff would be at noon for this year’s Palmetto Bowl.
The Gamecocks and coach Shane Beamer won’t make a bowl game this season after losing 31-30 to No. 3 Texas A&M on Nov. 15. They had a 30-3 lead at halftime but didn’t score any second-half points, allowing the Aggies to score 28 unanswered points for their biggest comeback in program history.
Just one year ago, the Palmetto Bowl had major implications for both programs. South Carolina was 8-3 heading into the game and Clemson was 9-2. The thrilling 17-14 win for the Gamecocks altered Clemson’s College Football Playoff path temporarily but the Tigers won the ACC Championship a week later to secure an automatic bid.
The Gamecocks finished 9-3, the best yet for Beamer, who is now one loss away from his worst season in five years.
