Clemsonfootball has officially entered the mix for one of the more intriguing defensive backs in the 2027 recruiting class.
Bryce Williams, a four-star defensive back out of Western High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, announced on social media Monday that he received an offer from Clemson. The offer gives the Tigers another name to watch in the secondary as Mike Reed and Clemson continue building their board for the 2027 class.
Williams is listed at 6'2 and 175 pounds, giving him the length that Clemson has consistently valued at cornerback and defensive back. According to the 247Sports Composite, Williams is rated as the No. 36 defensive back in the 2027 class and the No. 28 player in Florida.

The offer also comes with real competition already in place. Williams holds 46 total offers, including programs such as Nebraska, Georgia, Florida, LSU, Indiana, Florida State, Arkansas, and Auburn. Nebraska currently appears as one of the warmer schools in his recruitment, with a visit listed for June 5.

For Clemson, this is still the early stage of the recruitment, but getting involved now matters. Williams has the size, ranking, and offer sheet of a player who will likely become a major national target as the 2027 cycle develops.
