Four-star cornerback Kahmaree Crumity announced Wednesday that he received an offer from Clemson, giving Mike Reed and the Tigers another young defensive back to track early in the cycle. Crumity is a 2028 prospect out of Tallahassee Lincoln High School in Florida.

According to 247Sports, Crumity is listed at 6-foot and 173 pounds. He is rated as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports Composite, ranking as the No. 323 player nationally, the No. 34 cornerback, and the No. 47 player in Florida.

That offer list is already crowded. Crumity has 42 reported offers, with programs such as Oregon, Georgia, Texas A&M, and Notre Dame already involved. Clemson is not exactly getting in on a hidden prospect here. This is a national recruitment that is already moving fast, even with Crumity still two years away from signing.

Clemson’s offer to Crumity is the Tigers’ third secondary offer in the 2028 class. That says a lot about how early the staff is trying to establish relationships with defensive backs in the cycle.

Crumity has zero crystal balls to his name, as this recruiting is still far away from a conclusion. This move is more of an early swing at a player with national attention and a long way to go before a decision.

Crumity is a name to file away now, because this recruitment probably will not stay quiet for long.
