So anyone got a spare defense lying around? Maybe we shouldn’t have been surprised with the warning signs last year, but this defense stinks. While the offense hasn’t always been perfect they usually perform well enough for Clemson to win. Then the defense takes the field, gives up points in hilarious fashion, and everyone ends up pissed off.

This week the Tigers head down to Florida to face Florida State in a rivalry game that now resembles a pity party. The Seminoles haven’t exactly covered themselves in glory this year and it is only the name branding that makes this a prime time game.

The Tigers need this one to become bowl eligible. While they have to win 3 out of the remaining 4 to do it, Louisville is good enough to make a 3 game sweep unlikely. Possible, but unlikely.

At this point I’ve given up talking about things that can de done to turn it around, what I’m looking for, etc. I’ll settle for just putting together 4 quarters of decent football. It should be doable against Florida State. But I also said that against SMU, Duke, Georgia Tech, and Syracuse. And here we are with all of those games being losses. Funny how different the season would be with wins there huh?
