Linebacker Luke Ferrelli is expected to re-enter the transfer portal, with Ole Miss emerging as the likely landing spot after a brief stint with Clemson.
According to reports from The Clemson Insider (TCI), Ferrelli informed the Clemson coaching staff late last week of his intention to leave the program. The decision came shortly after he arrived on campus as a portal addition and began going through the early stages of integration with the team.
The reports indicate Ferrelli had already enrolled at Clemson, attended classes, and participated in team-related activities before deciding to move on. He also spoke directly with head coach Dabo Swinney to communicate his plans prior to departing.
Although the transfer portal officially closed Friday night, the reports note that schools are allowed a short grace period to formally enter a player’s name once they have been notified of his intent to transfer. The Tigers expected to process Ferrelli’s entry within that window.

Ferrelli’s return to the portal comes just days after he signed with Clemson and was viewed as a potential defensive contributor. If finalized, the move would send him to Ole Miss and mark a rapid second portal decision in a short span, highlighting the increasingly fluid nature of roster management in college football.
