Clemson faces a difficult challenge in Week 5 as Dabo Swinney's squad prepares to slow down a high-powered Miami offense led by Heisman Trophy contenders Darian Mensah and Malachi Toney.
But the Tigers and the Hurricanes may have a common opponent Saturday: Mother Nature.
With rain and thunderstorms expected in the forecast for Saturday's 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff at Memorial Stadium in South Carolina, both Clemson and No. 4 Miami will need to navigate potentially adverse conditions as they look to secure a win for the ACC standings.
Saturday's matchup features the only two teams that are 2-0 in conference play. The Tigers secured their second ACC win last week on the road at Cal, as running back Gideon Davidson finished with 159 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries, while Bryant Wesco Jr. returned a 65-yard punt for a touchdown.
Miami, on the other hand, picked up its second conference win back in Week 3 against Wake Forest, while the Hurricanes moved to 4-0 last week with a 49-point win over Central Michigan, where Mensah threw for 338 yards and three touchdowns.
Here's the latest on the weather surrounding Saturday's Clemson-Miami game:
