Coaches Poll Prediction: Is There ANY Chance They Get This Right?

We all have our bad weeks. Sometimes there’s a lack of focus, and sometimes things are just a bit off. Last week’s Coaches Poll was … let’s just call it interesting.

It had LSU one spot ahead of Ole Miss – the Rebels had beaten the Tigers the week before with just a wee bit of fanfare. It had Oregon 15th and Oklahoma State out of the top 25 – the AP top 25 had the Ducks ahead of the Cowboys, too – and, worst of all, it put Penn State 22nd and Wisconsin 34th. The Badgers, whose only loss was to Notre Dame, had just won in Happy Valley.

It also had Washington ahead of Minnesota, SMU ahead of Louisville, and … here’s its chance to get things right.

We like to think positive, so here we’re predicting the Coaches Poll gets cleaned up a bit this week.

2026 Coaches Poll Prediction: Week 6 Quick Hits

The most interesting aspect this week will be the teams that just miss. Oklahoma State, Kentucky, Boise State, Pitt, Nebraska, Minnesota, Wake Forest, and Wisconsin should all be in contention, but there will likely only be room for two of them.
