College Football 27 Drops with Hints of Buckeyes Everywhere

College Football 27 dropped their release campaign this week, and they went heavy on the Buckeyes.

The game itself looks incredible. There have been several changes in the gameplay outside of the football aspects of the game. There are things like dynamic weather, NIL recruiting, a live life environment for Road to Glory mode, and so much more.

Also within this year's version of the game are incredible nods to Buckeyes everywhere, at least in the initial marketing of it.

The first and most important part of the game, especially for Buckeye fans, is the addition and inclusion of the Buckeye Stripes on Ohio State's uniforms. This element of the uniform is something that Ohio State fans have been clamoring for a long time, and now they are officially back, and they look great.

Then, mascot games are officially back. This is a nod to the past, as the mascot games were a fan favorite in some of the earlier versions of the game, and they are back in 2027. Seeing 11 Brutus Buckeyes running around the field is equal parts hilarious and so much fun.

The release also featured some pretty cool pregame elements that, of course, they used Ohio State and Michigan to display. Art imitates life in many instances, and this is the example that they used. The pregame scuffles that have taken place in the Michigan tunnel prior to The Game doesn't just happen in video games, it happens in real life, too.

 

Does this scene look familiar? This is a great look at what last November looked like in Ann Arbor when the Buckeyes went in and took down their bitter rival, the Michigan Wolverines. 

The snow was falling as the teams battled on the field, and it made for one of the greatest environments in The Game, ever. Perfect use of what was an immaculate scene on the turf last year.

Finally, the video game trailer, while not narrated by Ryan Day, is still pretty sweet. Curt Cignetti is the voice behind the video, and all of the clips, the song, and the monologue are pretty darn good.

The release of the video game is yet another marker that we are getting closer and closer to the start of the season, and smart move by EA to use the Buckeyes every chance they can get.
