No. 12 Texas Tech hosts No. 23 Houston under the Friday night lights in a bout that could have big implications in the Big 12 Championship race. The Cougars finished 10-3 last season, while the Red Raiders won the conference to earn a College Football Playoff bid.
Elsewhere, No. 18 Oregon will look to bounce back against FCS Portland State after it was upset by Oklahoma State on the road in Week 2. No. 5 Miami and its high-powered offense led by quarterback Darian Mensah and receiver Malachi Toney also play its third consecutive game on a non-Saturday.
