An upset-laden Week 7 of the 2026 college football season saw six top-10 teams lose in a single day, shaking up conference title races and the push for a spot in the final 12-team College Football Playoff.
That chaos stretched its tentacles to the Big Ten.
In maybe the most anticipated matchup of the weekend, No. 5 Ohio State went on the road and knocked off No. 4 Indiana, 19-15, ending the Hoosiers' FBS-leading 22-game win streak and ending coach Curt Cignetti's perfect home record as the Indiana coach. The game ended in dramatic fashion, too, with wide receiver Nick Marsh, a Michigan State transfer and River Rouge graduate, failing to get a foot in bounds on what would have been a go-ahead 27-yard touchdown with 1:02 remaining
Elsewhere, No. 12 UCLA remained undefeated with a 17-7 victory against Wisconsin at the Rose Bowl, Michigan knocked off Penn State 21-18 in a game in which Tommy Carr replaced Bryce Underwood at quarterback and Northwestern bolstered its case to crash the top 25 after beating Michigan State on the road 24-21 in a game in which Wildcats quarterback Aidan Chiles and Spartans head coach Pat Fitzgerald were both competing against their former schools.
What effect will those games have on the latest US LBM Coaches Poll and AP Top 25? Here's a look at where Big Ten teams stand in the national rankings after Week 7:
