College Football's 9 'Easiest' Schedules In 2026

The 2026 college football regular season will be here before you know it.

Spring is coming to an end, summer is arriving and, soon enough, college football teams will be preparing for the first games of the 2026 season.

With the College Football Playoff at 12 teams, schedule is perhaps more important than ever. Some teams have the luxury of being able to go 10-2 or 9-3 and still make the College Football Playoff. Others, meanwhile, do not. A lot of it comes down to schedule.

Which college football teams have the easiest schedules in the country?

Earlier this year, Bleacher Report ranked the nine easiest schedules in the country for the 2026 college football regular season.

A lot of familiar names topped the list.

Country's 9 easiest schedules

They're among the true "contenders.

"In the SEC, life gets much more difficult in going to a nine-game schedule, and the depth of the league is better than any others. So, the couple of teams that made this list from that conference may not have an "easy schedule" comparatively speaking nationally, but it's doable within the framework of that conference," they wrote.

"In the Big Ten, which has proven it's the best conference the past few years, it's all about the best draws. Other leagues—like the ACC and Big 12—have healthy representations on the list, because those conferences aren't as deep or strong."

The nine teams with the easiest schedules:

  1. Alabama
  2. Georgia
  3. Houston
  4. Indiana
  5. Miami
  6. Notre Dame
  7. Texas Tech
  8. Utah
  9. Virginia

A lot can change between now and the end of the season, of course, but right now, these nine teams have the country's easiest schedules.
