Since the 2020 debacle involving Howie Roseman picking Jalen Reagor over Justin Jefferson, the Philadelphia Eagles have built one of the NFL's deepest rosters by consistently targeting players from powerhouse college football programs. The team's current roster reveals clear pipeline trends that continue to shape Howie Roseman's roster-building philosophy.
Alabama leads the way with eight Eagles players, giving the Crimson Tide the strongest presence on Philadelphia's roster. Georgia follows with six players, while Texas and Ole Miss each have five. Florida is next with four, and Penn State has three.
1A. The Eagles' Alabama pipeline includes quarterback Jalen Hurts, wide receiver DeVonta Smith, offensive lineman Landon Dickerson, offensive lineman Tyler Steen, tight end Cameron Latu, linebacker Jihaad Campbell, and undrafted rookies Jaeden Roberts and Deonte Lawson. It is a group that spans both offense and defense, and it reflects Philadelphia's continued trust in one of college football's most NFL-ready programs.
1A. Georgia has also become one of the Eagles' most important sources of talent, particularly on defense. Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, Nolan Smith Jr., Kelee Ringo, Smael Mondon Jr., and rookie offensive guard Micah Morris give Philadelphia six former Bulldogs. Carter, Davis, and Smith have helped shape the defensive front, while Ringo and Mondon add to the team's SEC-heavy defensive identity.
2. Texas is another program with a growing footprint on the roster. The Eagles have five former Longhorns: Ta'Quon Graham, Jake Majors, Andrew Mukuba, Moro Ojomo, and Cameron Williams. Ojomo has already carved out a role on the defensive line, while Mukuba, Majors, and Williams give Philadelphia young developmental talent from a program that has returned to national prominence.
3. Ole Miss also has five players on the roster, led by A.J. Brown and Elijah Moore. Chance Campbell, undrafted rookie cornerback Kapena Gushiken, and undrafted rookie tight end Dae'Quan Wright round out the Rebels' group. Brown remains the headliner, but the number of former Ole Miss players shows how often Philadelphia has returned to Oxford for talent.
4. Florida has four Eagles players: Jonathan Greenard, Fred Johnson, Dameon Pierce, and undrafted rookie long snapper Rocco Underwood. Penn State has three with Saquon Barkley, Tariq Castro-Fields, and pass rusher Arnold Ebiketie.
The rankings also include an important note. Uar Bernard and Jordan Mailata did not attend college, making them unique cases on a roster otherwise filled with players from major college programs.
For the Eagles, the pipeline rankings reinforce a familiar roster-building strategy. Philadelphia continues to value players from Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Ole Miss, Florida, and Penn State — programs that regularly produce NFL-caliber size, speed, and competition-tested talent.
