Collin Klein is getting involved in the recruitment of an in-state tight end who recently backed out of his commitment to another Big 12 program.
Pratt three-star prospect Arley Morrell posted on social media on Sunday, Dec. 14, that he has received an offer from the Wildcats. It’s the first publicly known offer Klein has made as K-State’s head coach.
Morrell was recently released from his signing with Iowa State. He cited the program’s recent coaching changes as the reasoning, after Matt Campbell accepted the head coaching position at Penn State on Dec. 8.
Morrell told Rivals that he hoped to hear from Kansas State and Penn State upon his release.
Listed at 6-foot-6, 210 pounds, Morrell is listed as the 247Sports Composite’s No. 57 tight end in the 2026 class and the second-best available player out of Kansas. The Wildcats have yet to sign a tight end in the 2026 class, and they’re set to lose Brayden Loftin and Andrew Metzger to the transfer portal.
