Colorado a finalist for 2027 WR Jaden Baldwin, commitment date set

Colorado football could be closing in on another class of 2027 commitment as four-star wide receiver Jaden Baldwin set his commitment date.

Baldwin, a Chandler, Arizona, native, will announce his college decision on June 16 and choose among four finalists. Colorado joins Iowa State, Penn State and Pittsburgh as the final grouping.

He discussed his upcoming decision with Rivals, breaking down each of his options. The Buffs attracted him primarily because of Brennan Marion and the offense Colorado’s new offensive coordinator runs.

“Colorado’s go-go offense is exciting because it creates space for receivers to play fast, make explosive plays and showcase their ability all over the field,” Baldwin said. “Their offense allows you to showcase your entire skill set, which excites me a lot.”

Deion Sanders and CU are in a great position to make a lasting impact on Baldwin, with him visiting Boulder the weekend of June 13, just three days before his expected commitment date. Pitt comes first in late May before he heads to Penn State (June 8-10) and Colorado. Interestingly, Baldwin’s visit to Iowa State won’t come until June 19, a few days after his commitment.

247Sports Composite ranks Baldwin as the No. 703 overall player, the No. 79 wide receiver and the No. 15 player from the state of Arizona. Baldwin has elite speed with a 10.64 100-meter dash, and that showed up during his 2025 high school season, where he racked up 64 catches for 820 yards and six touchdowns.

Colorado also holds an ace up its sleeve, as current CU commit Andre Adams has been out on the recruiting trail, hoping to persuade Baldwin and several others to join him in Boulder. Without a doubt, Baldwin would be a significant addition to the Colorado 2027 class, which currently sits at just three commits, none of which are on receivers.
