The Colorado football program got some great news on Tuesday.

According to On3/Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett, Colorado landed a commitment from four-star quarterback Andre Adams. He chose Colorado over Virginia Tech, Florida State, and Kentucky.

“We coming,” Adams told Fawcett.

This is a big win for Colorado head coach Deion Sanders, who is going into a pivotal fourth season at the helm. The program took a big step back in 2025, finishing the season with a 3-9 record. It came one year after Sanders led the Buffaloes to a 9-4 record.

Sanders is 16-21 as the Buffaloes’ head coach since taking over ahead of the 2023 season.

Adams is a four-star recruit and the eighth-best recruit in Tennessee, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 15 quarterback recruit in the nation and the No. 173 overall recruit, regardless of position.

Now that Adams is in the boat, Colorado has the No. 58 recruiting class for 2027, per 247Sports. That number will likely change as Colorado adds more recruits to its 2027 class.

Colorado will open the 2026 college football season on Sept. 3 against Georgia Tech. It will be a big game against an ACC squad to open the season on the road before coming back to Boulder to play Weber State on Sept. 12.

Colorado will close out non-conference play at Northwestern on Sept. 19 before getting into its Big 12 schedule for the rest of the year.

Let’s see if Sanders can help Colorado bounce back in 2026.
