Colorado's 2027 class got one more commitment Monday night, with four-star offensive lineman Dewey Young announcing his pledge to the Buffaloes.
Young chose the Buffs over several top suitors, including Georgia Tech, Georgia and Vanderbilt. 247Sports Composite ranks Young as the No. 272 overall recruit in the class, the No. 24 offensive tackle, and the No. 7 recruit from his home state of Michigan.
The Kalamazoo native becomes Colorado's fifth offensive line commitment, joining four-star Li'Marcus Jones and three-stars Coderro McDaniel, Zaquan Linton and Jayin Talib.
Young primarily played left tackle in 2025, and his height should make him a candidate to remain on the outside in college.
The 6-foot-5, 327-pounder is an elite 2027 prospect and becomes the Buffs' second-highest-rated commitment behind Jones. Young is also the fifth blue-chip prospect Colorado has landed so far this recruiting cycle.
Colorado's 2027 class now sits at 20 commitments and ranks No. 35 overall nationally and No. 3 in the Big 12.
