The Colorado Buffaloes’ recruiting took another hit on Thursday when safety D’Montae Tims backed off his pledge. Tims announced on social media that he had flipped his commitment from Colorado to Indiana. The 3-star prospect from Seffner, Florida, may not seem like a significant loss on paper. Still, his departure adds to a growing list of players who have decommitted from the 2026 class, including Colorado’s top-rated commit just a few days ago.
Colorado is now down to just ten players in its upcoming recruiting class, with two four-stars and the rest three-stars, and the group currently sits at 95th nationally. It’s not an encouraging sign for Deion Sanders and a program that had grown accustomed to landing top-25 classes in recent years. Nearly every prospect in the 2026 cycle is already committed elsewhere. Although there’s still time for Sanders and his staff to flip players to Boulder, this is hardly what fans want to see after a disappointing 2025 season that will end without a bowl game appearance.
