Coloradooffensive lineman Tyler Brown and defensive tackle Tawfiq Thomas announced their plan to enter the NCAA transfer portal on Friday afternoon.
Brown spent three seasons at Colorado (redshirting in 2023), playing in 14 total games, including 12 starts in 2024. He was one of three players to play both offense and defense for the Buffs.
Thomas joined the Buffaloes in 2024 from Louisville and played in 17 total games, but only four in 2025 due to injuries. He finishes his Colorado career with 30 total tackles, four tackles for loss, one sack and two quarterback hurries.
With the expected loss of Thomas, Colorado has zero defensive linemen on the roster for next season. The defensive line was already going to be a significant emphasis this offseason, and after Thomas' announcement, adding bodies up front is a requirement for Deion Sanders' personnel department.
