Colorado football made an offer to class of 2027 four-star offensive tackle Brian Swanson on Monday.

The Buffaloes are Swanson's 33rd offer and now face major competition, including Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Florida, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State and Texas.

247Sports Composite ranks Swanson as the No. 172 overall player nationally and the No. 17 offensive tackle. He is also ranked as the No. 25 overall player from Texas.

The Dallas, Texas, native appears close to a lock to remain in the state and commit to the Texas Longhorns, with Rivals giving Steve Sarkisian's program a greater than 90% chance of landing Swanson's commitment.

Colorado's offensive line took a significant step forward this year with many transfer portal veterans filling the starting five. Except for Jordan Seaton, most of those players seem likely to be moving on, making replenishing the line a crucial step over the next two offseasons.

While a commitment from Swanson seems unlikely, Coach Prime could highlight that he can step in as the left tackle of the future after Seaton moves on to the NFL.
