The transfer portal has officially opened as of Jan. 2, and the Colorado Buffaloes are not wasting any time.
Head coach Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes offered three-star transfer and FCS All-American defensive tackle Andrew Zock. The Mercer product is scheduled to visit the Buffaloes on Jan. 7 and Toledo on Jan. 4. Along with the Buffs, Zock also holds offers from Arkansas State, FAU, Sam Houston, Charlotte, Tulsa, Liberty, MTSU, UNLV, among others. He is ranked as the 66th-best edge in the transfer portal by 247Sports.
The Florida native is one of eight defensive linemen named as finalists for the FCS Defensive Player of the Year and was a Freshman All-American in 2024. In 2025, Zock recorded 20 tackles for loss and 11.5 sacks, marks that rank third and seventh in the FCS, respectively.
Overall, in his two seasons with the Bears, Zock had 84 tackles, including 34.5 TFLs and 18.5 sacks. He has also forced four fumbles and knocked down six passes in his time with Mercer.

The 6-foot-2, 250-pound lineman would fit in perfectly with the Buffaloes, as Colorado had an exodus in the trenches. Colorado lost seven defensive linemen to the portal this offseason.
With roster spots to fill on Colorado’s defensive front, Zock’s production over his two years at Mercer makes him a strong candidate to step into a significant role with Colorado.
