Colorado football’s speed showed up in a big way in the latest EA Sports College Football 27 ratings, and the numbers point to a roster built on transfer-portal additions.
Wide receiver Kam Perry and defensive back Emory Floyd lead the Buffs with 93 speed, making them the fastest players on the team. They are followed by defensive backs Boo Carter, Cree Thomas and Makari Vickers at 92, with several others, including wide receivers Joseph Williams, Quentin Gibson, Danny Scudero and DeAndre Moore, checking in at 90.
The list fits the way Colorado has attacked this new roster under head coach Deion Sanders. The top-rated players in the game are all transfers, with Perry, Floyd and others offering proven production from previous stops.
Perry comes to Boulder after a strong season at Miami (Ohio), where he caught 43 passes for 976 yards and six touchdowns. Floyd arrives after starting every game at Appalachian State and finishing with 57 tackles, six pass breakups and an interception. Both are expected to give Colorado immediate help in key spots.
The ratings also show how much speed Colorado has added on offense. Perry, Scudero, Moore and Gibson give the Buffs multiple options at receiver, while DeKalon Taylor, JaQuail Smith and Richard Young provide quickness in the backfield.
