Colorado high school football playoff scores, live updates for Fort Collins-area games

Friday Night Live is back for another week of Colorado high school football playoff action.

Northern Colorado has a busy weekend, including some intriguing Friday games and several Saturday showdowns.

The Friday slate is highlighted by Class 2A No. 2 Wellington hosting a regional rival in a 2A quarterfinal and Fort Collins’ 5A 2nd-round road game at a top-5 team. Plus, No. 6 Roosevelt and No. 12 Thompson Valley open the 3A playoffs Friday night.

Coloradoan reporter Chris Abshire and photographer Logan Newell will be posted up in Wellington with live updates from No. 2 Wellington vs. No. 7 Resurrection Christian and more games across NoCo.

Windsor Player of the Week in action Saturday

The Wizards are 10-0, No. 1 in Class 3A and also have our most recent Blue Federal Credit Union Football Player of the Week!

The Windsor senior linebacker/defensive end took the Fort Collins-area honors after a 65-yard pick-six interception return TD helped secure an early momentum swing in a 42-6 win at Greeley Central.

Timnath to make playoff debut

The Cubs are officially in the playoffs for the first time in the program’s fourth season. They nabbed the No. 14 seed in Class 3A and will be on the road at No. 3 Palisade (Nov. 15, 1 p.m.).

Timnath finished with a winning record of 6-4 (also a first) after winning their final two games in blowout fashion.
