Colorado lands second defensive transfer with Lamont Lester commitment

Colorado continues to hit the transfer portal hard, with several commitments already announcing their allegiance to Deion Sanders’ program.

While most commits so far have been on the offensive side of the ball, FCS defensive lineman Lamont Lester joins Yamil Talib as the only two defensive players to commit to the program.

Lester is coming off a standout season at Monmouth, where he was tied for 10th in the FCS with 9.5 sacks as a freshman. He has three years of eligibility remaining after his redshirt freshman season.

In addition to his 9.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, 10 quarterback hurries and 11.5 tackles for loss.

At 6-foot-2, 230 pounds, Lester is undersized for a defensive lineman, so an offseason in a Power Four strength and confidence program should set him up for success during his first season at Colorado.
