Colorado loses 2026 4 star commit

The Colorado Buffaloes football program, to a lot of the outside world, is on a pretty serious downswing right now. They are 3-5 (yikes!), have gotten blown out two games in a row (this is also not good!) and there is a lot of negative talk around the vibe of the program.

It wasn’t too surprising, then, to see one of CU’s most sought after recruits, Emanuel Ruffin, decommit and seek greener pastures. I know, I know, what’s more green pasture than Boulder, but he has a long list of suitors. Missouri, Alabama, LSU and Ohio State have all offered Ruffin, which means that big brands and big bucks are in play. CU needs to get it’s house in order to compete for these guys.

On a positive note, he may also see that London Merritt and Alex McPherson are the future of the position and it may be hard to get time. Those two, both true freshmen, are playing well for a defense that doesn’t have a lot going for it right now. The Buffs and Coach Prime need to start filling the roster back up, in a big way, and fast.
