Deion Sanders brought in Brennan Marion to lead the Colorado Buffaloes‘ offense and serve as a coach who pushes the envelope.
Pushing the envelope at the very minimum might simply mean getting the running game more involved. That part of the Buffs’ offense has been nonexistent during Sanders’ tenure, but it shouldn’t be with Marion calling plays.
Running backs coach Johnnie Mack spoke with reporters Tuesday morning and raved about how the new offensive system will help his group.
“I told my guys, ‘if you’re not excited for this (the Go-Go offense) I don’t know what to tell you,'” Mack said. “This Go-Go offense is built for running backs; it is built for running backs to have success. We know it runs through us.”

Mack went into detail on what he sees in each one of his backs, notably picking out DeKalon Taylor as the perfect back for the system.
“It’s the perfect fit for him,” Mack said. “It is more like a duo where he gets the opportunity to read several keys on defense, and it does not dictate to him to go one way. He can go either way with his type of speed.”
Mack is definitely a Taylor believer, and if he has a strong spring, Buffs fans could see him start Week 1 against Georgia Tech, given his seamless fit in the offense.
