After a 3-9 season, Colorado football was expected to suffer some tough losses due to transfer portal departures. Those announcements have been relatively minor until today. Colorado's leading receiver, Omarion Miller, announced his intentions to transfer when the portal opens on January 2.
The 6-foot-2 receiver will have one year of eligibility left and is coming off the best season of his career. He finished with 45 receptions for 808 yards and eight touchdowns. Leading the Buffs in all three categories.
Miller's expected departure shouldn't come as a surprise, considering Colorado's 2025 record, but he is by far the biggest name to leave the Buffs this offseason.

Fortunately for Buff Nation, wide receiver is one position that Deion Sanders and company have shown a knack for finding standouts, whether that be in the transfer portal or high school recruiting. Furthermore, the fact that quarterback Julian Lewis is in place as the Buffs' starter should make attracting receiver talent even easier. Nevertheless, it is a significant loss that now needs a top-end replacement.
Miller will finish his Colorado career ranking No. 21 in program history with 1,258 receiving yards, tied for No. 20 in touchdown receptions and No. 47 in total receptions with 66. Whoever lands Miller from the portal will get a top-tier receiver and a potential first-round talent.
