Colorado averages 3.7 yards per carry and has scored four rushing touchdowns. Utah ranks ninth nationally in rushing defense, allowing 78.8 yards per game and 181.2 yards per game last season.

Offensive coordinator Brennan Marion addressed questions about the running game Wednesday, citing his previous success at UNLV and Sacramento State. Colorado's rushing average currently ranks 15th in the Big 12.

Wilson returns against a familiar defense

Wilson completed 26 of 44 passes for 290 yards and a touchdown against Texas Tech, throwing three interceptions in the 29-7 loss. Sanders selected him to start again against Utah, where he played before transferring to Colorado.

Protecting possession is a priority. Colorado has committed 11 turnovers through five games.

Finishing drives remains another concern. The Buffaloes have scored on nine of 14 red-zone possessions, including six touchdowns. Utah ranks fourth nationally in red-zone scoring defense, allowing points on 63.6% of opponents' trips.
