Colorado's top rusher in the 2025 high school football season finally has his college football home.
Fort Collins running back Jack McKeon committed to in-state Air Force on Feb. 2.
McKeon told the Coloradoan he plans to make it official and sign with the Falcons on Feb. 4 when the signing period opens.
"My dream of playing college football has come true, and I am extremely grateful and honored," McKeon said as part of a social media post announcing the decision.
McKeon led all of Colorado with 2,197 rushing yards (7.3 yards per carry) and 29 total touchdowns last fall, leading Fort Collins to a 9-3 record and the program's second playoff win in the past decade.
He had over 3,700 total yards and 53 TDs across his final two high-school seasons as one of Colorado's most prolific players.
But McKeon wasn't even rated on any recruiting sites and only had Division I offers from Army and Air Force, visiting each over the past two weeks.
McKeon said that Air Force is looking at him as a "super back," a fullback/featured back hybrid in its triple option/flexbone offense.
That should be a great fit for McKeon, a 5-foot-10, 205-pound bulldozer who runs with a shifty but powerful style through would-be tacklers.
McKeon finished his prep career in style, posting 11 100-plus yard games in his senior year and setting a Fort Collins record with 370 rushing yards in a playoff win over ThunderRidge.
