I’ve been watching too much TikTok recently and have been getting frustrated with all the accounts that I am seeing talking about how Nebraska volleyball shouldn’t be ranked #1 and how weak their schedule is. These people are saying that a weak schedule is why Nebraska didn’t win the national championship last year and that since they didn’t even get out of the Elite Eight they shouldn’t have been preseason top 5.
I think one thing they are forgetting is that Nebraska lost only one starter from a very talented team. And while this year’s schedule is weaker than a lot of others, last years was not. The Huskers started off the year playing Pitt, Stanford, Kentucky, and Creighton all in the non conference while facing ranked Wisconsin, Purdue, Minnesota, Penn State, Indiana, and USC.
Anyway, I think I need to just stay off of TikTok.
However I will be ready for a great game when Nebraska plays Creighton tomorrow night.
