The LSU Tigers football season is inching closer, now down to double digits on the countdown clock. Kickoff against the Clemson Tigers is now just 61 days away, the number that no one wants to hear anymore.

As we continue to look back at the history of the Bayou Bandits to celebrate and prepare heading into the first game, there is also the matter of getting to know the current-day players.

Here is a look at the past and present of No. 61 at LSU:

No. 61 -C Braelin Moore

Moore is one of the more underrated players that Lane Kiffin was able to keep around from the previous roster. Last year's offensive line was rough and needed to be re-worked, but Moore was a bright spot. The Tigers will be able to have an experienced center, which is the most important spot to have a veteran on the line.

The former Virginia Tech Hokies standout transferred to LSU last season. It could have been a one-year stint, as he is expected to eventually make an NFL roster, but he decided to stay around and play in the high-powered Kiffin offense. Even while Moore was fine himself last year, the offense as a whole was underwhelming and didn't make for great film.

Per Pro Football Focus (subscription required), Moore has allowed just 25 total pressures in 1,083 career pass-blocking opportunities. He has 2,045 total snaps played. There were few better options in the country to man the middle of the line next year. He's less of a stout run-blocker, but should be better when the talent around him is able to help more as well.

A 61-Yard Play

Joe Burrow Finds Justin Jefferson For 61-Yard Dagger Touchdown vs. Texas in 2019

This was the game that truly announced the 2019 team as being ready to dominate the college landscape. Many Tigers fans probably remember exactly where they were when this score happened.

There were high tensions before the game, and it was a tightly-contested match, but this score put LSU up by two possessions with just over two minutes remaining. Jefferson had nine catches for 163 yards and three total scores in this game. Three Tigers receivers had over 100.

It was also this score that prompted the iconic Burrow wave to Longhorns fans after throwing for 471 yards and four scores, a moment that made him the main character of that college football season.
