There is somewhat of a gamble to enter the transfer portal, and for Notre Dame cornerback Cree Thomas, it paid off.
The freshman from Arizona will head back closer to home, as he committed to the Colorado Buffaloes according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett. It’s a logical place for a cornerback to land, as their head coach Deion Sanders is regarded as one of the greatest of all-time.
The shine has worn off on his arrival in Boulder, as the Buffaloes went just 3-9 this past season. A big part of their roster construction happens in the portal, and getting former 3-star prospect makes plenty of sense for them.
Hopefully Thomas can see the field more than he did with the Irish, as the deep secondary along with impressive in-coming recruiting class pushed him to move on. We wish Cree the best at Colorado.
