Is Clemson coach Dabo Swinney really feeling the heat?

After the Tigers’ dispiriting 46-45 home loss to Duke on Saturday, Swinney made an incredibly awkward joke about being fired with school athletic director Graham Neff in the room.

DABO SWINNEY:Screaming at Clemson players might seal his demise

“I may get fired today,” Swinney joked (…joked?) during his postgame press conference before clarifying his comments to Fox Carolina News’ Carmine Gemei.

“We’ve gotta win some games,” Swinney answered about if he’s concerned about his future with the program. “I’m just worried about trying to beat Florida State.”

Swinney’s 3-5 Clemson is getting closer and closer to missing a bowl game and posting a losing season. With the school’s lack of recent success, it really could spell the end of Swinney’s time in Death Valley.
