Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney made a stop at Boise State on Wednesday, and it did not take long for Broncos head coach Spencer Danielson to make his appreciation known.

Danielson posted a photo with Swinney on the blue turf, saying he was “fired up” to have the Clemson coach at Boise State. He also called Swinney an “elite human being and mentor,” which is the kind of praise that goes beyond a normal coaching visit.

For Swinney, this is another reminder of the influence he has built across college football. The Clemson head coach has won at the highest level, including multiple national championships, but his reputation has also been built around relationships, leadership and the way he talks about developing people beyond football.

Clemson is still preparing for a critical 2026 season, but Swinney’s reach around the sport remains obvious. Whether it is former players, current coaches or younger leaders in the profession, his impact continues to show up in places far outside of Tigertown.
