Clemson running back David Eziomume was carted off the field after he appeared to suffer a serious leg injury.
The injury against California on Friday, Sept. 25 happened in the first quarter during a kickoff return for the Tigers. Eziomume was part of the special teams unit and was wearing a different jersey on the field, and he was blocking on the return when a Cal player indirectly dove at his right leg, taking him out.
Eziomume was down on the field for an extended period of time as medical personnel attended to him, and a cart eventually came onto the field. The Clemson player was helped onto the back of the cart as his right leg was stablized.

Eziomume was taken off the field with his right leg being attended to by Clemson staff. The exact injury and severity of it is unknown.
A junior running back from Acworth, Georgia, Eziomume is a junior and has played in some games throughout his career in Clemson, entering the season with 26 times for 133 yards in 100 career offensive snaps over 14 games. He had Clemson's lone touchdown score in the season opening loss to LSU.
