David Pollack makes national championship prediction

Former Georgia Bulldogs All-American defensive end and former ESPN "College GameDay" analyst David Pollack has predicted his College Football Playoff bracket. Pollack predicted the playoff on his podcast, "See Ball Get Ball."

Pollack feels most confident in Notre Dame, Miami, Oregon, Texas Tech, Indiana and Georgia making the playoff field. "I had six teams that I felt the most confidence in," Pollack said.

Schedules are a big factor in why he confidently thinks those teams will make the playoff. Pollack highlights Ohio State's tough schedule as a reason why he does not have as much confidence in them making the playoff as the other six teams.

Pollack predicts that the Texas Longhorns will lose in the national championship to the Oregon Ducks. Pollack picks the Big Ten to win a fourth consecutive national title. Interestingly, Pollack has Oregon as the No. 4 seed in the playoff and Texas as the No. 7 seed.

Georgia is Pollack's No. 5 seed and Pollack predicts that the Bulldogs will beat No. 12 seed Boise State before falling to eventual national champion Oregon in the quarterfinals of the playoff. He thinks Georgia will win the SEC championship.

"I think Oregon's going to, listen, the Ducks, man. I got them winning the championship, but these guys all came back for a reason, man," Pollack said. He likes Oregon's physicality and experience.

Pollack has Notre Dame as his No. 1 seed. He predicts Miami will earn the No. 2 seed, Texas Tech gets the No. 3 seed and Oregon gets the No. 4 seed after winning the Big Ten championship against Indiana.

Of course, Pollack's national championship predict isn't always right. Last year, all three of Pollack's top national title contenders (Texas, Penn State and Clemson) missed the College Football Playoff. His national champion pick, Clemson, went just 7-6 in a very disappointing season.
