Offensive lineman Dewey Young appeared to have his sights set on playing college football outside of his home state of Michigan. The 2027 four-star prospect trimmed his list of finalists to Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, Georgia and Colorado.
Ultimately, the 6-foot-5, 327-pound athlete ended up selecting the Buffaloes and head coach Deion Sanders. It's going to be interesting to see how the coaching staff uses him, as Young's height might automatically make him appealing as a tackle, which is where he played most of his snaps as a junior at Kalamazoo Central High School.
Young visited Boulder in May with a host of other recruits.
