Most years in college football, it is evident what a great quarterback can do for a team with a lot of obstacles. Demond Williams is as talented as they come, and this season, he will need to be at his best for the Washington Huskies to achieve at a high level.

In a recent article, Roman Tomashoff discusses what will be the biggest factors for the Washington Huskies to have success this season. Here is what he had to say:

“Over Fisch’s first two years, the Huskies have been looking to find more success away from Husky Stadium, and the October 3 matchup with the Trojans will be a critical measuring stick to see if Washington can overcome the road woes that have plagued the young and somewhat inexperienced rosters over the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

Finding a way to win at least one of those three games starts with Williams, after the Huskies averaged 9.3 points per game and 4.3 yards per play in their four losses last year. Fisch has been vocal about his junior quarterback needing to step up in the big moments, which will be critical as the Huskies search for new playmakers to step up after running back Jonah Coleman and wide receiver Denzel Boston moved on to the NFL.”

The two biggest obstacles for the Huskies this season will be placed right in front of quarterback Demond Williams Jr. He will decide whether or not this team goes as far as they can. On the road for their toughest matchups, Demond Williams Jr. will have to play like a Heisman candidate. The same will be said for the Trojans quarterback Jayden Maiava. Both quarterbacks will be vital to their teams’ success.
