Tennessee took part in SEC football media days on Monday at JW Marriott and Tampa Marriott Water Street in Tampa, Florida.
Running back DeSean Bishop represented the Vols on the opening day of media days. The 5-foot-10, 215-pound redshirt junior discussed Tennessee’s offensive potential this year.
“I believe the sky’s the limit,” Bishop said. “Especially with a lot of returning guys, I know we’re pretty young at quarterback, but we’re going to do everything we can to sustain the run game. Obviously, this year we’re going to throw the ball as well.
“Looking back from last season, returning a 1,000-yard rusher is pretty good, I would say. Just going to continue that stride. We’ve ran the ball tremendously over the years, and just looking forward to getting back to where we left off at from last year.”
Bishop appeared in 23 games, including 13 starts, for the Vols from 2023-25. He totaled 1,531 rushing yards and 19 rushing touchdowns on 256 attempts, while recording 16 receptions for 145 yards.
