Did anything in the final week of Big Ten football change perceptions?

Last week, I attempted to pick every Big Ten game in college football rivalry week. Over the two weeks prior, I got just one total game wrong. Could I do it again and close the regular season out on a high note?
Let’s take a look and see at how my picks fared:
Iowa over Nebraska (Friday)
“Iowa has won nine of the past 10 games in this series. Make it 10 of 11.”
This marked the first time in this rivalry that the game was decided by more than seven points since 2017. But the result was the same as usual, with the Hawkeyes winning.
Record: 1-0
Indiana over Purdue (Friday)
“Indiana is one of the two best teams in the conference. Purdue might be the worst.”
Indiana outrushed Purdue 355-44. I think you can figure out who won based on that.
Record: 2-0
Michigan over Ohio State
“Ohio State looks like the best team in the country right now. They have a great chance to win a second consecutive national championship. But until proven otherwise, Michigan still owns them.”
We were officially proven otherwise.
Record: 2-1
Oregon over Washington
“Back when Kalen DeBoer and Michael Penix Jr. were in Seattle, the Huskies owned Oregon. Unfortunately for Washington fans, DeBoer is now in Tuscaloosa and Penix is in Atlanta.”
This was not the prettiest of games, but Oregon ultimately did enough to win.
Record: 3-1
Minnesota over Wisconsin
“It looked for a while like Wisconsin might finish winless in Big Ten play, but the Badgers found a way to upset Washington and Illinois. They do not win this one, however.”
What is the difference between a Gopher and a Badger? Gophers know how to go bowling.
Record: 4-1
Penn State over Rutgers
“After starting the year as the preseason No. 2 team in the country, Penn State avoids the embarrassment of missing a bowl game altogether.”
As of Tuesday afternoon, Penn State still does not have a head coach, but they are going to a bowl game.
Record: 5-1
Maryland over Michigan State
“The Spartans join Purdue in finishing 0-9 in Big Ten play.”
Michigan State avoided going winless in conference play. They did still, however, fire their coach.
Record: 5-2
USC over UCLA
“UCLA is a horrible football team. The Trojans simply cannot afford to lose this game.”
USC did not have to do all that much to win this game—the Trojans just sat back and waited for UCLA to lose it.
Record: 6-2
Illinois over Northwestern
“The Illini bounce back from last week’s embarrassing loss to Wisconsin.”
It is a credit to what Bret Bielema has built at Illinois that 8-4 feels like a disappointing season for them.
Overall Record: 7-2
Overall performance
I closed out the regular season with a 7-2 mark. Not my best performance, but not awful, either.
Stay tuned, as I will potentially have some conference championship, bowl game, and playoff picks in the coming weeks.
