Did Missouri football fall out of national polls after Oklahoma loss?

The Tigers are out of the top 25.

Missouri football dropped out of the updated US LBM Coaches Poll on Sunday, Nov. 23, following a 17-6 loss to Oklahoma on the road Saturday in Norman. The Tigers were the No. 21 team in the previous edition of the poll and are now the fourth team outside of the rankings

The Tigers (7-4, 3-4 SEC) have only spent four total weeks outside of the coaches poll since the beginning of last season.

Missouri has finished back-to-back seasons with double-digit win totals and ranked among the top-25 in every major national poll and the College Football Playoff rankings. Mizzou can no longer win 10 or more games this season after suffering its fourth loss of the year.

The fourth set of CFP rankings of the 2025 college football season will be revealed Tuesday night. Mizzou was No. 22 in the most recent top 25 on Tuesday, Nov. 18, but is unlikely to remain ranked.

In the coaches poll, there were no changes to the top 11 since last week.

The top three remained unchanged. Ohio State is still No. 1, Indiana was No. 2 and Texas A&M was No. 3, making the Aggies the top-ranked SEC outfit. Georgia was No. 4 and Oregon rounded out the top five.

There are now eight SEC teams currently in the coaches’ top 25 in the updated rankings.

Elsewhere in the SEC, Ole Miss was ranked No. 6. Oklahoma was No. 8, Alabama was No. 10, Vanderbilt was No. 12, Texas was No. 16 and Tennessee was No. 18.

None of the seven teams Missouri has defeated this season were receiving votes on Nov. 23. The Tigers do not have a win over a team with a winning record this season.

Mizzou’s next game is against Arkansas on Saturday, Nov. 29 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The Razorbacks lost to Texas this past Saturday are are 0-7 in SEC play.

Mizzou coach Eli Drinkwitz is one of the 67 participating head coaches in the coaches poll.
