With some upsets and top teams struggling in Week 6, US LBM Coaches poll has decided to bump Notre Dame up from No. 3 to No. 2.
The change made sense, especially after the Fighting Irish beat Stanford 57-3 and extended their double-digit win streak to 16 games.
On3 also felt it was necessary to move up Notre Dame in its latest College Football Playoff projections. The Irish are predicted to go from No. 6 to 5 and host No. 12 Boise State in the opening round of the CFP.
The winner of that game will play No. 4 Indiana in the quarterfinal round.
