Notre Dame continues to hold onto the No. 3 spot in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll, but there are some other metrics that also help tell the story.

ESPN College Football Power Index after Week 5 was updated after the action, and the algorithm agrees with the coaches poll, the Irish are the No. 3 team in the country. The bad news is that Notre Dame went down from No. 2 last week to No. 3 this week. Ohio State and Georgia are the top-two teams in the latest FPI rankings.

The Irish have a projected win-loss record at 11.2-0.8, with a 39.5% chance to win out. ESPN’s FPI is giving Notre Dame an 89.7% chance to reach the College Football Playoff, a 24.8% chance to make the national championship game and a 13.9% probability to win it all.
